Case study

A hazy, dreamy, retro-futuristic aesthetic defines the unconventional interface and navigation of the Scalability Project website, which surveys 12 web/multimedia artworks and texts from artists and scholars. The site is designed to be both disorienting and immersive. The typography is both elegant and strange, a glow follows you wherever you go, and floating pulses of color connect disparate ideas.

Or, as the introductory statement states, “This website is a ‘container,’ by Ursula K. Le Guin’s definition, a tool for gathering stories that ‘brings energy home.’”
